Java Developer

About the Role

Richlabz IT Solutions is looking for a talented and motivated Java Developer with 2–4 years of professional experience to join our software development team.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing Java-based web applications and backend services. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JPA, MySQL, and REST APIs.

The developer will work closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop scalable backend services and web applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Work with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Design and maintain database structures using MySQL.
• Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database operations.
• Develop reusable and maintainable application components.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Debug application issues and resolve technical problems.
• Perform unit testing and support application testing.
• Work with Maven for project dependency and build management.
• Use Git and GitHub for source-code management.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other technical team members.
• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Prepare technical documentation when required.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Core Java
• Good hands-on experience with Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Spring Framework
• Experience with Hibernate and JPA
• Strong knowledge of MySQL
• Experience developing REST APIs
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
• Knowledge of Java collections and exception handling
• Experience with Maven
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of software development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional Java development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• Experience developing database-driven applications.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture is an advantage.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Docker or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience with JUnit or Mockito is preferred.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is an advantage.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
